"Lajos Szalay is recognized as the reborn of new Hungarian graphics" (László Beke, 1970). [4] His art was recognized worldwide, according to Pablo Picasso "If two graphic artists' names survive for posterity from the twentieth century, the other one will be me, if only one, it will be Lajos Szalay.
